Minister for Europe and the Americas at the Foreign Office, Christopher Pincher, will attend the annual UK-Italy Pontignano Conference
The Minister for Europe and Americas at the Foreign Office, Christopher Pincher, will today (Friday 27 September) travel to Italy to attend the 27th Pontignano Conference.
Minster Pincher will join Italian Ministers at the bilateral conference in Siena to discuss issues affecting the United Kingdom and Italy, including Brexit, shared security threats and the strengthening and preserving of the Rules-Based International System.
The Minister will meet Italy’s Europe Minister, Vincenzo Amendola, to discuss the rights of British nationals living in Italy and Italian citizens in the United Kingdom. The Minister will reiterate that securing the rights of British nationals in the EU, and giving citizens the reassurance they need, remains an absolute priority for the United Kingdom Government.
