Loss of control in flight after reported engine failure, Belhus Woods Country Park, Essex, 7 September 2024
This statement provides an update on the AAIB investigation into the accident involving a Jodel D120, G-AYGG.
After takeoff from Damyns Hall Airfield the aircraft lost power. It subsequently departed controlled flight and struck the ground in Belhus Woods Country Park. The pilot was seriously injured.
