On behalf of the people of the United States, I congratulate the people of Suriname on the 44th anniversary of your independence on November 25.
The United States values our longstanding collaboration on regional security and our cooperation under the U.S.-Caribbean Resilience Partnership, as we work to strengthen our joint disaster resilience capabilities. We also appreciate Suriname’s recent efforts to combat money laundering.
As you celebrate this special occasion, I again wish the citizens of Suriname a happy Independence Day.
