In response to the poisoning of Kremlin critic leader Alexie Navalny with a nerve agent, the United States tightening sanctions on some exports to Russia in response to the poisoning of Kremlin critic leader Alexie Navalny with a nerve agent.

Certain items related to aviation and space are partially excluded. As per the Commerce Department of the United States, the move would tighten in response to the poisoning of military intelligence officer of Russia Sergei Skripal and his daughter in Salisbury. Moscow has denied any role in either case.
