Mayside Partners Limited has confirmed that CUNNTAS, its integrated bookkeeping, payroll and financial compliance platform for UK businesses and organisations, has entered the final testing phase ahead of its wider release.
The announcement follows the introduction of CUNNTAS as a professional bookkeeping and payroll service designed to give organisations a clearer, more accessible and more economical alternative to fragmented accounting systems.
Since that initial announcement, CUNNTAS has developed into a comprehensive platform bringing bookkeeping, payroll, invoicing, cash management, financial reporting, VAT administration and statutory compliance together within a single secure environment.
The platform is now undergoing practical testing using organisations within the Mayside Partners group of companies. This allows its developers to test genuine accounting structures, transactions, payroll records, VAT periods and reporting requirements before opening the service to a broader group of users.

CUNNTAS includes a structured chart of accounts, general ledger, journal register, customer and supplier records, invoicing, document management, payroll processing and management reports. The platform also maintains a detailed organisational timeline and audit history, allowing authorised users to understand when transactions were created, amended, posted or reversed.
Its payroll functions include employee records, pay-run calculations, payslips, payroll journals and reconciliation with the general ledger. Human-resources tools provide additional support for employee onboarding, payroll linkage and employee-relations records.
Development includes VAT Making Tax Digital functions. CUNNTAS has successfully connected to HM Revenue & Customs’ development environment and can retrieve VAT obligations and returns during testing. It also supports VAT groups, including representative-member reporting and separate calculations for participating group companies. Additional work is continuing on corporation-tax and Companies House functions. These areas are being developed carefully so that CUNNTAS does not describe a filing function as available until the corresponding technical, regulatory and authorisation requirements have been completed.
Security has remained central throughout development. CUNNTAS requires two-factor authentication for ordinary user accounts and provides recovery codes and trusted-device controls. Its production infrastructure is hosted in the Amazon Web Services London region, with separate systems for application hosting, database services, file storage, encryption, audit logging and protected credentials.
The CUNNTAS platform has also been designed to support different organisational structures, including limited companies, limited liability partnerships, charities and sole traders. Users can maintain more than one organisation while keeping the accounting records, permissions and reporting of each entity appropriately separated.
CUNNTAS now also includes an integrated Media Centre through which subscribing organisations can prepare, manage and submit press releases. Users can enter the title, subtitle and release text, add a YouTube or Vimeo video, select an existing image or upload a new one, and format the release using a comprehensive set of rich-text editing tools.
Completed releases can be sent directly from CUNNTAS to OfficialWire for editorial review and publication through its press-release service. The Media Centre also maintains the organisation’s submission history and publication status, giving users a clear record of the releases submitted through their account.
The Media Centre is intended to connect financial administration with wider organisational management. Businesses and other organisations can maintain their accounting and payroll records while also preparing and distributing formal announcements from within the same secure platform.
