Trinidad and Tobago

Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau will travel to Trinidad and Tobago and Guyana August 9-12, 2026. In Trinidad and Tobago, Deputy Secretary Landau will meet with Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar to further strengthen the bilateral relationship, including to discuss shared energy and security priorities and advance economic cooperation. In Guyana, Deputy Secretary Landau will meet with President Irfaan Ali and cabinet members to discuss expanding bilateral economic cooperation and strengthening bilateral investment opportunities. The visit will also focus on enhancing collaboration in strategic sectors including energy and critical minerals.
